Harold Hirzel with family, friends, fellow Rotarians and special guests.

Friday, January 30th, 2009 at noon, the Pryor Rotary Club celebrated, along with members of Harold Hirzel’s family, 50 years of membership and 50 years of perfect attendance in the Pryor Rotary Club. Harold joined the Pryor Rotary Club on January 30, 1959. Before his retirement, Harold had a construction business, building fine homes and commercial buildings. He has shown his love of Rotary by his attendance, participation in club projects, work on committees and by becoming a Paul Harris Fellow. He is an excellent example of the Four Way Test in Action!

Plaques and proclamations celebrating this event were presented by Rep. Ben Sherrer, Rotary District Governor Ron Petersen, Mayor Jimmy Tramel and club Rotarians. Fellow club members presented Harold with a specially designed bolo tie which incorporates turquoise and the Rotary Wheel in gold plate. Each future Harold Hirzel Fellowship recipient will receive a similar bolo tie to commemorate their gift of $500 or more to the Pryor Rotary Club Foundation.
